Just Do Something.
Acts Saturday night service was great. The message spoke by Ps. Ryan was solid and very straight forward. Challenging us to rise up by OURSELVES and take up the challenges in our life. Just to add on something in my mind. Sometimes we tend to wait for the “Real Calling” from God. But we also know that not everyone will actually hear the audible voice from God. Just ask yourself how many of us actually hear the “Voice” before this?
Sometimes we thought we heard something but we also not sure whether is from God or not. Be real, my dear brothers and sisters. If you see the needs in others, this is actually the calling of God, just be there and help. I think this is a more practical way to show the love of God by serving and helping others. Ps. Ryan challenged us to rise up by OURSELVES, means that we ourselves need to take the initiative to really do something for God but not just to wait for others to call you to do something.
Alex Tan from Acts shared this to me. This story took place in the youth ministry in Sweden. There was a huge guy with a gangster look, one pastor went up to him and just said, you can do something for God. By just saying that, this gangster look guy actually took some photos of himself n printed it as a poster with a statement which said “I am a Christian, please ask me why” on top of each posters. And he pasted the posters around the campus. And because of his crazy thought, people really came to know God by just questioning him the same question, what he did is just shared about how God had changed him. Not saying we must do crazy thing then only people will come to know God. But God allow us to be creative and Just Do Something for Him, take part in the activities organize by cf, churches or any other events which will open the opportunity for us to serve God. From a survey done by…(forgotten the name), 95% of the people came to know God when they were below the age of 20. It’s quite scary because after 20, we can say that most of the young people will so used to their current lifestyle and wouldn’t want to change anymore. If we call ourselves youth/young generation, can we Just Do Something for the youth as well? Thank God for the life He has given to us, and thank God also for the souls that will come to know Him through us. I feel bad because so far what I do is just helping people but I never really ask those people this question, “ Do you want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior ?” In the beginning of this blog, I only said wherever there is a need, there is a place for us. Now I add on saying, winning souls will be pleasing Him the most. Help us Lord, help us Just to Do something for You.
